The Best of You!

The best of YOU. Who brings out the best of you? Who are those people who have decided that you won’t give up, won’t get tired, and won’t throw in the towel? Who’s on your “home team”? Sometimes we need that core “LIFE BOARD of Directors” I can’t say it enough… these are the folks who cheer you on, when you get discouraged. Kinda like an Facebook or LinkedIn group online (smile)… Whether it’s online or offline or your very own core “group of folks” you’ve connected with out there…get some true “life line” folks.

Father…TIME

There is something to be said about the time we’ve spent talking to our Dads. Depending on where you grew up, probably made a difference in the content of those talks. Talks of :

  • How to tie your shoe
  • The best way to stay balanced on your bike

Home- is that where the heart really resides?

When I was younger, I remember passing by homes on my way to school and noticing the look now known as, "curb appeal".  I remember the thought process in wondering what kind of people could live inside. Some homes held dinner aromas, and some smells of laundry sheets. Some expelled stale scents, as some reflected cigarettes and alcohol so strong it would be out to the sidewalk for passersby.

$24 worth of … Time?

How’s your lifestyle? I mean YOURS not the one you wish you had, or the one you used to have, or even the one you wondered about. How is the lifestyle YOU live daily?

Unconscious Smiles

I get these Mac Anderson inspirationals in my email, because for sure at times I need them but, as I teach an evening class for adults, sometimes they need them. I like to give a thought for the day…from a good one I’ve received. You know the ones that give you an unconscious smile. Those really speak to you.

The Sounds of Saturday

After a tedious juggle of the previous week, when Saturday comes… you know it’s arrived by some very distinct sounds. Before my eyes open I realize it is Saturday as I hear a lawn mower in the distance; then later as I rise there are garage doors opening, Washing machines humming in the “Sounds of Saturday”.
